Actually got to fish two days in a row. Friday was cold and windy but saturday's weather was as good as it gets. Lake is starting its rise to summer pool. Elev. was 356.5' and water clarity was generally stained. Wasn't much current but water temp has already reached 70 degrees. I figure the fish are about a month ahead of schedule as to where they would normally be. Pretty much believe the spawn is on in a big way.

Both days we caught fish in 8-12' of water near deeper drop offs, but in the creeks. Fish were schooled in hugh numbers, lot of small non-keeper fish but enough keeper fish to have a 5 fish limit each day of about 14-15 lbs. What was great was the numbers. I won't estimate the total number of fish we caught, but it was a lot of fish. My son is more about catching lots of fish than he is about the size so it was awsome. In addition, I was able to finish installing my new HDS8 with structure scan, so I was able to look at all these fish with the various views an got a lot of experience in figuring out what to look for.

This two days of fishing was great and trips like this don't come very often for me so I thank my "Maker" for a blessing such as this. emoAngel
