Hey everyone. I just wanted to let everyone know that I just signed another deal this morning with an independent company named Basstar Baits. Most have probably never heard of them. But they offer a deep diving crankbait like no other i have ever seen before. It is what they call an infinite diving crankbait. it will dive deeper than any other crankbait. I just found out about this company a few days ago and thought it might be something that some people would want to use on the ledges around here. I personally catch a lot of fish off of a manns 30+, but it kills your back. this should make it easier to get to those deeper depths. take a look.
I got a couple ordered just to make sure they are as advertised before I start offering them for sale. but they should be here in a week or so if anyone wants to take a look at them.
I am trying to keep constantly expanding and staying ahead of the curve.

Go to their website and take a look.

i have seen em before they got a less then favorable review on tackle tour but id like to try one first hand.. man Jim you need to get back down south and open a store LOL

For real, need find you a place to open a store, you have a killer selection and growing by the day!

excellent. I have been wanting to try these myself specifically in that color. Nobody seemed to have them in stock.

When you do think you will have some?? I don't mind being a test dummy

I have tried the product. It is nothing more than a crankbait with lead crimped over the front of the bill. The problem I have encountered is that it doesn't walk like a traditional crankbait and you get more hangs. I spend half my time trolling so I have a natural acumen for this sort of thing. I say "Eat your Wheaties" get a Castaway launcher, a Lews Speedspool BB1NG, and tie on a Manns 30+. You can cast a mile and get down to 26'+.

they should be in sometime in the next few business days. Like i said, I have been doing the 30+ for yrs now, it just wears you out, especially throwing them a mile out like i do. lol. maybe i do just need to eat my wheaties. lol. Its funny I could play football and wrestle in high school with no problems, but throwing a stupid 30+ crank will wear me out. lol. As swindle once said, I guess I need to pull my panties up and fish like a man. lol, jk.

anyway, they will be in in the next few days, and everyone can look at em. i might even try and pass one around for people to try. also got a few of the spin tech hooks coming too. its hard to tell much about a bait by looking at it online unless u already know the characteristics (like a DD22). so the only way is to order them and try them. i wont sell stuff that doesnt work or is a gimmick. I always try to verify its legit before I sell it. I have had those laser lure people calling me all the time, im just not sure its legit so i havent done anything with them. anyway, this crankbait looks to me like it would dive nose down and look like a shad feeding on the bottom. thats what caught my attention.

as for me and my business, thats what im trying to do is open a place up. you gotta have money to open a place up. so im out working trying to save up some money so i can have operating capital. i have done this entire thing the right way, debt free. I would love to keep it that way, but not sure if i can. I pay for my orders when I place them, no credit acct. thats why vendors love me, im a zero risk to them. on the down side it makes it hard to have cash to play with. but its getting better everyday. my dad and family have been helping me with deliveries and shipments. I do all the book work and ordering and talking to everyone (which takes up most of your time). I come in on weekends and inventory everything and re-order. I am thankful for the support this site has shown me and the support my family and friends have given me and also the CFF. its hard to believe the volume of business i have been doing. I never though it would grow this fast this quick. I am one of my ditributors #1 seller of rods, mainly carrot stix. I havent taken $1 out of the business. Its all gone back into inventory and other expenses. And dont forget I did most of this while I was unemployed. This is the dream I had, but its not finished yet. A store with all kinds of items that we use and also items that we never see around here (japan lures, california swimbaits, etc) will be the final dream. I will get there one day (God willing). It just goes to show you that with hard work and determination and good customer service anything is possible. I have had guys call me at 10:30 PM at night and want me to drive across town to meet them. i could have declined, but I didnt. I got out of bed and went and met them. You wont find that at Academy or BPS or anywhere else for that matter. So hopefully it will all pay off one day. I didnt mean to get off on a long rant, I just wanted to say I am thankful to everyone and God for where I am at. I hope I have saved you some money and met your expectations of what a tackle dealer should be. The future looks bright for Top Dog.
