Both my caps on my battery have been leaking. Ive taken them off and cleaned around where it seals and i still cant get it to stop leaking. Is there a right or wrong way to get the caps back on and sealed? The battery is only 2 months old.

Sounds as if you have too much water/acid in the battery or you have been running the boat in some mighty choppy water and bouncing the battery around. There is no seal or gasket on the battery caps, they are vented so that gas will not build up in the battery.

Overcharging, either by charger or the engine's charging system, will also cause the acid/water to leak out the cap vents.

It shouldnt be over-charching, i have a charger thets suposed to cut off when the battery is fully charged??? Maybe its not working right??
