When I charge my 2 year old starting battery, it makes a funny, buzzing sound, while water bubbles up around the area you remove to add water. It did the same thing Friday while charging. It holds a fullcharge and I added water to it today but it did the same thingwhile charging after yesterday's trip.

Your charger isn't cutting off after reaching fully charged capacity. I had the same thing happen with a Schumaker charger. I had it hooked and didn't cut off after the charge was done and all the water was gone. Does itnsmell like sulpher?

Buy a hydrometer or a small battery tester ( the one with the balls that float) to fined out the percentage of charge needed to top off your battery and use it.

Charge at two amps and keep an eye on it. Overcharging will shorten your battery life.

At some point you may want to invest in a charger with an automatic cut off. It's cheaper that a battery.

Good luck and keep us posted.
