Mercury 225, 4 graphs and all accessories.......what do you battery gurus' recommend for a cranking battery. I believe the 225 requires 1000CCA.

Size, Brand, type?? Not ready to jump to the Lithium price level...............

Any comments welcome

I went with group 31 X2 power by Batteries plus after I repowered to new Mercury Pro XS V8. Very few batteries met the min requirements. These batteries are made by Northstar and is a hoss. I did catch mine on sale and a $40 rebate at the time. Good Luck.

Agree with the above. Check their site for coupons and/or promo's.

DEKA group 31 dual purpose, I have been running them for years and (knock on wood) have not had an issue with battery yet. Heavy, strong, and reliable.

if youre only gonna run one battery to power all that, it better be BIG and GOOD, when i was only running one for this purpose i used the Odessey Extreme 31 series and it lasted YEARS
