Battle of Chiclamauga High School Tournament, Sat April 29, Which High and What Will It Take To Win?

It looks like the lake will be loaded with high school anglers this weekend. There are some talented young anglers in the mix and some heavy bags should be brought to the scales. Grundy Co walked away with the Belt last year. Soddy Daisy caught second place for their school. Rhea Co had 5 teams in the top 20. I believe a local team will prevail for this 2017 event. I say Rhea Co will bring in a sack weighing 27.42 lbs. Some of the captains have been doing their homework (no pun intended).

How many boats are expected? I have heard over 300, any truth to that?

I'm shocked that BASS would not reschedule. TVA asks that all recreational boating be minimalized due too high water, debris and bank flushing later in the week. Over 500 boats is more like it.

A non area team will win. 45#, it is a two day tournament. Some of the boat captains will have scouted hard. Happened last year in the second Chick high school tournament.

So they're looking at a 4-5 hour weigh-in? That's if they average a team every 30 seconds. wow

jenko is correct I got a email today from bass, they say as of now the tx is still on but they are monitoring it closely, subject to be resched at another date but as of now its still in on

It's only a one day event. 25 and some change is my guess on the win. There should be somewhere between 400 and 500 boats.

Last I heard there is 414 boats in the event. I believe that Chase McCullough and partner will take the win with 26.82#. No pressure Derek!

Gonna be a trick to get that many boats in at Dayton. 300 to 350 is all the parking they have close enough to the boat dock. Looks like 490 boats registered now.

I have to eat some crow now and make a slight correction on my original prediction. I have had my ear to the rail and I will say Rhea will be second with their 27.42#. Bradley Central will edge just past Rhea with their big fish. A Bears team will bring a sack tipping the scales at 27.89# to edge out Rhea for the win!
