Everybody be ready this weekend. It is the opening of duck season in Tennessee. In my few trips to the lake in the last week, I've seen tons of people out building duck blinds. It is going to be crowded out there tomorrow.

Every year I see complaints on here from the duck hunters about fishermen crowding them and potentially flaring ducks. And the fishermen saying, "They don't own the lake."

It's all correct.

Duck hunters.... it's going to happen. Just be ready. Fishing folks have been out there all year long and it's going to be tough on them to change their habits (or milk runs) just because you show up (maybe just for one day) with a few duck decoys.

On the other hand, fishermen... please be prepared to alter those milk runs a little bit this weekend. The duck hunters just get a relative few days out there, and usually there only there 3 or 4 hours in the AM. Maybe give them some space.

Bottomline for everyone... it is considered a public "multi-use" reservoir. Some of those uses conflict. Everybody needs to use some common sense and respect the rights of others.

I'm done playing peacekeeper emoAngel ... y'all be safe out there.

Been seeing a lot of duck hunters on Nick A Jack to. Big blind where we were fishing in the cove.

Yes they do have heat with them. But I know alot of fisherman that do also. It should never get to that point tho.
