Bearing Buddy question

I would like to know if you can rely 100% on Bearing Buddies or should you "repack" every year or two? Thanks

I still repack every 2 years on mine even with the bearing buddies. I am considering going to the free oilers.

I just make sure I pump grease into the BBs yearly and let the trailer set for a few minutes before launching so the bearing assys have a chance to cool off 1st. Hot bearings (hotter than the ambient water temps) could theoretically could pull water into the bearing asys. Properly maintained bearings last a lot longer than most people think if kept lubed.
