Cool. Snares are probably easier on a pond anyway. Can set several in less time. Conibear traps work best in smaller streams or defined runs. I bet you'll catch several more. Then go without catches for awhile until more move in.
have you ever eat beaver meat?if so how does it taste,i have never tried any but would like to,but before i go on a beaver trapping spree i would like to know the take on the taste.
I was inspired by your post, I have a couple beaver that are a real nuisance in my pond and spillway, I ordered some snares last week, set out 3 of them in their trails last night, checked this am, caught 2 beaver on my first set ever! Pretty cool!
