Wondering if anyone has trapped beavers with a live trap. If so how is the best way to go about it. I don't want to kill em, just relocate them. Thanks for any info

I've been on a group of them since the fall, probably 20 of these little bastages on a 50 acre piece of property and they are destroying a 4 acre pond as fast as I can kill them. I've killed 5 so far and they are hard little boogers to get. I'm planning on setting they're little den on fire when it dries up with a firing squad waiting for them to run out.

If you need them removed, let me know. Spurhunter just got a new load of traps in and is ready to pound some beavers. Pm me if interested.

That's awesome catjuggin, thanks for the link. This is exactly what I'm after. I'm not against killing beavers, I know new ones will move in etc. my plan is to catch live beavers and continue to place them in areas that I would like to have flooded by this fall. My intentions are to introduce them to new areas while the spring rain is falling....in hopes they have enough water to work with, dam an area and call it home. Surely this makes since to somebody?

As long as you have permission from a landowner to place them, you should be fine. Be prepared for heavy pushback from most people when you offer to supply them beavers, 90% of people want them all killed asap. They are wildly destructive, hence the open season on them year-round with no bag limit
