We fished from about 6pm to 10:30pm last night. Like MrWiskers said we did catch up with him and Yankee Skeeter and sort of drifted down some rip rap close to each other until they left around dark. It was nice fishing and fellowshipping with a couple of other members of CFF. When and Why's total for the evening went something like this:
9 smallmouth
8 spots
4 drum
3 catfish
2 goggle eye
I think all spots were probably under 12, the smallmouth were close to half and half under/over.
If I do say so myself, I gave a pretty good seminar on "How to fight a 20 or so pound catfish on 6 pound mono line".
The cat's pic is on MrWiskers post as it was getting loose. An interesting fact about the trip: all drum and 1 cat came after dark and most of the bass before dark. We fished with 4" grubs and hair jigs. Here are my versions of the smallmouth that Why and Yankee Skeeter caught. Again, MrWiskers has his version of them on his post.
