What a day!! Got up at 3:30 am because my wife was puttering around trying to get ready to go to Fairbanks, AK this afternoon. I thought I could help. She has a hard time staying on task. AD/HD. I told her we really needed to get to the airport by 1:00. We didn't even leave home until 1:15. Just barely made it. I thought, Whew! glad that's over. I think I'll go fishing. I check the turbine schedule and it looks good for the afternoon. I call Neighbor Hal and set up a trip for 5 pm. I get the boat ready, then fix a sandwich and pile into the lazy boy about 3:30 for a short nap. At 6:00 Hal's wife calls to tell me Hal is waiting in the driveway. He couldn't wake me up!
Anyhoo, This rip-rap gods were not smiling much this afternoon. We got on the water about 6:30 and fished until 8:30. Caught 14 fish total with only one reaching 15" barely. Most came on a Chart/white 1/4oz spinnerbait within 2 ft of the bank. Caught a couple on a 100 Bandit. Just one of those fishin' deals. The water conditions seemed perfect. The turbines are scheduled to run at least until midnight. I'll bet the "Night Stalkers" tear 'em up tonight.
