Below Chick Dam 11/3 Stripers

I thought I might go try and find some stripers this morn from the bank below the dam. Got there before sun-up and fished till 8:30am. TVA had 3 turbines and 9 gates running. Saw a few fish blow up around me but I had no takers. I was throwing a redfin and a big 1oz CC Pencil Popper. I fished from the pier to below the railroad bridge. I woulda loved to have had a big live skipjack....

Anyone have any tips for catching stripers? Can Skippies still be caught?

I caught a skipjack wed. below Chick. dam. I use the same baits as you for stripe,but with the flood gates open that's probably where most of the stripe are. Without the first turbine on(closest to the bank) it's hard to find the stripe fishing from the bank. I am going down tom. morning to check it out.
