Below Chickamauga Dam 10-7-2006

Nikie and I went out in the boat today for a river picnic. She read while I fished. We got on the water about 3pm and the wind was kickin pretty hard. Fished for some catfish in decent current but the wind swept us through the hole too fast so I decided to anchor and try it just to make sure...I never even got a bite, nor did I see the other boat fishing hot dogs next to us.

We went closer to the bank to get out of the wind and threw a crankbait and landed a few spots. The wind was still blowing us all over so I deceided to just troll a bandit 200 crank bait for a couple hours. I landed the following 8-12ft deep- none over 15".

DHaun it was windy as all get out here in Cleveland yesterday. Glad ya'll got to get out for awhile. Sounds like fun and ya had pretty good weather anyway. Maybe the keepers will start getting the feed bag on soon. Hope so anyway. Thanks for the report!
One of the guys I fish with is ready to go drifting below the dam and we are wanting the smallies to crank it up!
