Below Chickamauga Dam.. Nickajack side

Has anyone been catching ANYTHING below the dam? I have not really seen any shad being caught and or white bass. i fish from the shore line usually way below the bridge. ive been throwing lots of lipless, grubs, and spoons with no bite. usually fishing for a couple of hours when i get off work but have not had luck. will it be spring until the big shad return? any help would be great!!

they are biting throw a small shad colored crankbait .

Fished the evening thru most of the night last night. Never went down any further than South chickamauga Creek. Boated over 30. Spinnerbait and jigs. Jig bite picked up when they stopped pushing water. Bumped the banks the whole time.

Actually most were spots and quite few small mouth.

Yeah there was one day with about an hour before day break they came up busting everywhere about the size of 2 football fields and there were tons of black bass mixed in them too. They will always bite a carolina rigged foley spoon

The other day i went down behind chatt state, and tried a silver and blue spoon, as well as a flourecent and orange lipless and nothing. though earlier this spring it really did matter what you put out there, they would hit ANYTHING!!!! hope that action returns soon!!

I fished the river front this morning before heading down to Guntersville for the weekend it was tuff with all the wind but caught several in South Chickamaga creek then fished the main river as long as I could set their moved up bye the dam and caught a couple small mouth caught all on a red shad crack bait and Carolina rig warm even with the water moving so bad with the wind still had a good morning and their was only one other boat that was fishing and another was goose hunting caught one on a swim bait also good luck
