Well I made the trip to Nickajack dam to do some striper fishing from the bank. Not a whole lot to report. I can tell you it was foggy, and since I have never been there before I didn't know where to start. Well eventually I figured out that I could get all the way down to the turbines,so I stayed there and low and behold that's where the stripe were. I only got 2 bites and caught both of them. One being 8.2lbs and my second being 11.3. Not too bad. Well as soon as I landed my second stripe they decided to turn the turbine closest to me off I knew that was going to be trouble and it was. Not even one more bite! There was a boat fishing really close to me(behind one of the tubines) using some shad minners and they were doing quite well from what I could see(fog). I saw them catch several smaller stripe and a couple small channel cats. For my bait I was using my same minnow bait(jerkait) that I used earlier in the week to catch some stripe below Chick. dam. So anyone on here fish for stripe on a regular basis?? I would like to learn more about where and how to catch them. I am getting better, but that's just kind of watching and learning more than anyone showing me.
