Below Nickajck 10/15/06

Spent the day below Nick Saturday....caught around 20 spots biggest around 15 inches and one smallmouth at 17 inches...most of the spots were caught trolling deep little n"s in (baby bass) and a few were on(smoke) grubs. not much current...they were generating very little.


MB's stats:

15 spots < 12 inches
no largemouth
one smallmouth - 17 inches

Was there any particular structural element that seemed to be concentrating the fish for you? Some of you guys really do well trolling those crankbaits down there. Were you bumping the bottom with them?

No particular structure polo....9-12 feet of water and the deep little "n" will dig at these depths on 14 pound fireline....do hang up sometimes so take plenty of baits.
