We are going to have a tournament for Gary on the 8Th of Aug, at Hwy 58 Boat Dock. He had open heart surgery and will be out of work for an unknown amount of time. If anyone would like to help or enter you can contact Karen at 423-903-4852

There is also going to be a rummage sale and a bake sale at the pavillion on that day.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks on advance.

Karen

You should put an address on here to send a donation. Some of us will give a donation even if we do not fish it. emoAngel Never a bad idea to help out a fellow fisherman. In times like that every little bit can help. emoHeart Jmax

I called Karen, if you would like to send a donation the address is;

Karen Hogan
1601 Francisco Rd.
Georgetown, TN 37336

She tells me they are going do it from safe light to noon so that it can be fished by the CBA folks and not mess up their night tournament that night. Gary is a long standing member of the CBA and has been around for years fishing with people here. He also for years fished the Thursday night dog fights. He had a triple bypass and this sounds like a good cause. emoAngel Jmax

Gary has fished with many CBA members, but he, himself is not a member of the CBA. We both have fished many dog fights, Gary has fished with the Capehart in many tournaments.
Gary had a quad heart bypass.

Does close count? I got part of that right. Like I said, not a bad idea. emoGrouphug Jmax

The tournament will start at first safe light till 12:00 noon.
$25.00 per boat
$5.00 big fish (opt) 100% payback
pays a place for every 5 boats

Which side of the bridge? The ramp on the south side is public the other side is not. Dont want people going to the wrong ramp.

OK guys, here is an update on the benefit:

There is going to be hot dogs, hamburgers, chips, and drinks.
Just taking donations for the food.

Just some of the items for the Rummage Sale

2-110 A/C units
3- Radiator heaters
1- 42 inch-riding mower
2- ceiling fans

alot of misc items for the house

that is just a few of the items

Gary, I hope you are doing well. If I can get away from work, I will fish the T for sure. If not, I will be happy to make a donation.

Guys, I hope everyone will make plans to attend this tournament. We need to help a brother out. Gary is a good man, that has worked hard to support his family. He also is one of those guys that would gladly come and give you a tow back to the ramp at 3 am if you needed it.

Update:

Hey Guys,

Just spoke with Lamar and he expressed the importance of not getting in the way of the guys that fish in the club. Blast off will follow the club tournament.... shouldn't take up too much of your fishing time. If anyone would like to make the tournament a 5 hr tournament from the time that you get to blast off. Let me know

Moved this post to "Tournaments" so anyone looking for the address to send a donation for Gary can find it better. I hope they have a great turn out. emoAngel Jmax
