The Chattanooga Crappie Club is having the Nooga Strong Memorial crappie tournament to help raise a little extra for the families of the servicemen we lost on 7-16. This tournament is open to anyone and everyone who wants to come out and catch some crappie for an awesome cause. The date is August 16th at Chester Frost and the blast off will be around 630 a.m. and weigh in at 12 p.m.. Standard rules will apply but the number of fish weighed will be 5 and will also have a big fish prize as well. Entry will be 25.00 dollars a boat and a custom t-shirt will be given to all anglers in tourney. Extra shirts for 10.00 dollars will also be for sale at the weigh-in to help raise money. A plaque will be to given to first and second place and a big fish plaque as well. Payouts for the tourney will be posted in the next couple of days. All entry fees and extra shirts sold will go the families. We hope to have a good turn out and what better excuse to go fishing than to help those recovering from such a hard loss.
