In the water before sun-up, didn't do to good with the hawg caller this morning, no keepers on the buzz, my son started off hooking the back light on the boat, broke his line and birdnested the baitcaster, needless to say he stayed mad till I got tired of hearing him, so i made him practise tying fishing knots, after about 45 min. he got the lesson about controlling his temper, gets it from his mother,ha, ha. He is 11 yrs. old. Anyway tried spinner bait no luck, tried blue and chrome floatiing minnow about 5'', throwing next to grass, bingo netted 3-3lbs. in about 40 min. missed two more about the same size. One, I had on about the time a pontoon boat came by shot up out of the water about 1 ft. would have made a pretty picture, but you know what happen then, yep spit that lure out. Oh well thats fishing. Had to leave about 9:30 a.m. should have stayed was a good day for fishing ,calm wind, overcast skies ,and not to many boats.
