best bait to use at nuke for bass

going w a buddy to fish nuke for bass any suggestions on best bait to use any pointers would be appreciated... thanks

If you can throw a cast net, I would say shad but if not just get some good sized shiners.

Castnetting threadfins is how the best catches have been made recently. Go to the boils out in front of the nuke and get over an area where you can see baitfish suspended and throw a cast net to catch the "yelllow tails". Fish along the edges of the main river drops and you'll catch some good ones.

How much weight do you guys use to get those shad down on the ledges for bass?

between 1 and 2 oz. Sam used some split shot that might have been 1/8 oz and was catching suspended fish.
