I need to re-deck a toon, 24' and I am wondering about some of the different materials out there. It needs to be 3/4" Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Look into AdvanTech subflooring materials. Expensive, but good stuff. It has a 50 year warranty when used in a house. Paint/seal all sides and edges and use silicone on all fasteners and I suspect it will last well. Check with the manufacturer's info to see what you think.

I use a material called Azacs which is structural and a full 3/4" sheet in up to 4' x 12' sheets. Although expensive, it is plastic and will never rot. It is easily attached and will handle most glues. Also, there is a web site for plastic sheets and itis close to the same material. http://www.american-plasticlumber.com/sheet.html Just something to think about.....

I have heard of Advantech before, but looking at the website, it doesnt really say anything about using it in an exposed application.

I built a couple tree stands out of 3/4 Advantech over 10 years ago. They have been exposed to the weather with no treatment whatsoever. As of last fall they were still solid. TTFWIW

i always used marine plywood for repairs but i looked at Lowes a few days ago and couldnt find it...... i used advantech alot when i sub-contracted so the ole Ranger is gonna get a peice....only need a small repair so im gonna sandwich it between fiberglass cloth kinda like it was from factory

I have something to add you may want to consider, Use the Advantech. After the installation have a thin layer of Truck bedliner sprayed over it to seal it and will serve as your final finish surface. You can get the stuff in a variety of colors. Do not use black due to the heat absorption in the summer sun. It will have a non-slip and durable surface that should last longer than your boat. With that you can just spray off all that Catfish slim. As you mentioned, if you just paint the floor you will slid off your deck.

Very good thought David, except moma says we have to have carpet. :(
I already bought it, its outdoor, and very low napp, should be ok with the slime.

Spur,

I used veranda boards. Installation was a pain but it looks great and after a year, it looks brand new.
