Best Dove ammo??

Opinions on the best/most effective dove ammo???
Of course it may not matter depending on how much beer is involved.....

7 1/2 shot 1 1/8 or even 1 1 /4 oz if you can find them. Some sheels only have 7/8 or 1 oz. shot and tell how fast they are. I don't know about you, but when I pull the trigger I wanr as much shot ging towards the bird as possible!!!!!!!!!!!!! emoEnforce emoEnforce These are often called HEAVY DOVE LOADS. They cost a little more, but I think they are worth it. Most of these have more powder also. (3 1/4- 1 1/8- 7 1/2 ) Thats what I like. I know Winchester and Remington make these.

I like 7.5 or 8 the best shells I ever used was a solid plastic shell cant remember the name of them but their was only 20 in the box but they worked really good I will find out the name of them and post it later

Try some 3" #4 steel shot. Those have to be my favorite for shooting doves.

000 Buck is the only way to go...Those dove are mean and you want to make sure you get it the first shot.

The "best" dove shell is one that works well enough in your gun to hit the little flying bastards.

Try Remington Express 7 1/2 shot 1 1/4 oz, you will cripple less and have more clean kills. any high brass with 1 1/4 oz of shot. But once again how much do you want to spend on a dove.

The best I have found is Rio's. in 12 gauge, I shoot 7 1/2, 1 1/4 ounce shot at 1330 fps. They shoot great even in picky guns

RIO x 2, they do seem to have a bit more pop than most others.
