I have always had costas and they generally last 5-6 years for me. I went and my new prescription for my glasses cause I can’t wear contacts and got a piece of almost $700 for my prescription in 580G green mirror blackfins!! I about fell out on the floor. I got my first baby on the way and decided to hold off. What would you guys recommend for alternatives if there are any? I love my costas but man, 700 bucks this time around made stop and pause. Thanks for your help ahead of time.

My Costas fell apart after about 4 years. I had to super glue them because a repair was going to take 4 weeks, in the middle of fishing season. Just got some new Oakleys. I have tri-focals and they were $625. Check to see if anything is covered by insurance. Mine were not.

Maui Jim but they are not cheap. But they are the best without a doubt. No eye strain, clear vision and unbelievable polarization.

I have Maui Jim's...bi-focal prescription. I would not trade them. Recently got new prescription with same frames...$600.00 for lenses.

Yep my frames and lenses came to $880.00. Not cheap but worth every penny. Just don't tell the wife what they cost...lol!
