I just shot a monster bird, one that I would like to get mounted...on a limb, not in full strut. I talked to Kermit, the bird stuffer, he is the nest around in my book, but he is still not doing turkeys...anyone got a suggestion?
disregard the request, I got a call back from Kermit, and he said he would make time to mount the bird if I did not mind waiting 6-8 months. I would gladly wait for his talent. He said the spurs were the largest he has ever seen. 1 1/2" and 1 5/8" with 11" beard.
Hey Clayton, can by to see Weasel but late guess you were gone. Wanted to say hi. I had Kermit mount some ducks and he is good. Shane has alot of talent too, but you pay alot for that talent. I think Carl had him mount one last year and he said it was around 6 or 7? I can't see that much difference. Oh well just wanted to say hi. Congrats on the bird.
Hey Richard, Carl did have his done there, and really likes it, but I grew up wanting to be a taxidermist after meeting Kermit as a kid and wandering thru his workshop in redbank. Having his birds means a lot to me. Hopefully we will be on a couple of job sites w you this summer. Let's hit the lake one evening.
