So I have a week vacation to use before may 5 and was wondering best month to fish chickamauga... I don't have to take it all at once but want to be able to catch some good bass..

prespawn- march big guns and decent numbers/ may post spawn-some bigguns and major numbers. Talked to a guy that came down for the post spawn bite, 4 day trip 294 bass with a 9.74lb bass for the biggest. Last year I had 20 bass that weighed over 5lbs during a week span in march fishing alone. It's an ok lake. If you want some real bass head out to Cali. Makes chick bass look puny!

May is great, but the biggest issue with May is there are way too many anglers on the water............even during the week.

1+.....this year will be a millions times worse with BASS and FLW both here in April and May.
