There was wild speculation at first about how this invasion would ruin the bass populations in host systems. When you look at the data, it appears as if the prolific spawning habits of the NSH have been a boon to predator fish like perch, crappie, and bass. Nothing conclusive. More work to be done, as is the case w/ AC. Will take a combination of science and recreational enthusiasts/conservationists to get to a final solution. A video like this helps press home the importance of implementing a fix based on fact, not speculation.
