BFL Regional tournament, flow problems

I wish all of the BFL Regional tournament guys well. I think that it will be a tough one to put big stringers to the weigh in however. If you look at the flow pattern that TVA has been using, they have been keeping the flow low all day long and running it hard at night. That is a very strange pattern to see but that's what they have been doing the past few days, not bringing the flow up until 6PM. The other problem is the falling water temp. I would expect it to drop quite a bit over the next few days. The only thing that might make it easier is that the water level is projected to rise the next few days. Anybody else have any thoughts about what the tournament will be like? Anyone know of any locals fishing the tournament?

I got out with my brother yesterday evening in the high wind and all and surprisingly the bite was good. Our best five would have pushed 19 or a little better.

Good thoughts there Polo. I think you are right in the flow thoughts as well. The bass may turn on with the cooler temps. It starts today and will be interesting to see what comes to the scales. There is already a post like this started down on the Tournaments forum under...."BFL Regional". emoSmile Jmax

I think it will take a 12pd average to win it, somebody will do good one day and average on the other day, and then if they are versatile it may take more, theres definitly a rat bite in the grass, whoever wins it will be doing something one way one day and totally different the other.

fished the tbf this past wknd finished 16th overall club finished second,like the previous post i think 15 plus per day will get you a good check real good...club member john talton leading after day one with 15.94 second day only caught two there will be a lot of two to four fish bags but as always somebody will figure them out i predict at least one 24# sack been tough for me over the last month...so heading for the big g next weekend clubs new yr kicking off i here its about as tough down there we shall see good luck to the bfl boys
