Went hunting opening morning of turkey season in Lynchburg, TN. This turkey strutted in & gobbled every 10 steps for about 500 yards by his self down the edge of a huge greenfield to my 1 hen & 2 jake set-up about 30 paces away. Gobblers everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bird weighed 24 lbs. had 1 1/2" spurs, & 11" beard. Next day in Birchwood, TN saw 6 gobblers, 20 hens. Shot at 1, & don't know why it didn't drop. 60 yards & my gun patterns out to 70. The spurs in the picture don't do it justice. Well the first one looks O.K. I guess Big Ol' Tom .I'd love to see what's keeping him from his hen's at 8:00 est!!!!!!!! Zach

Thats a great bird, and you are probably right, the king has all the hens but he's out there! The weather forecast turned opening day turkey into opening day bass on Nickajack for me. I'm glad someone went.

glad to see you got a nice gobbler, that ol'e big boy want stay with those hens when they go to setting. he will be looking for new girlfriends to hang out with. emoEnforce emoThumbsup

No, just fried turkey and a lot of great stories. You make enough money not to worry about it . If I had your money , I'd toss it in the river and fish a rat across it!!!!!!!!!!!! emoToast
