I've noticed alot of 20 to 28 pound bags coming to the scales on chick. this year. I'm not looking for a spot but was wondering if anyone knows if alot of these bags are coming from one area of the lake? Like I said i'm not looking for a spot just something like (North end or south, midlake) someting like that. I only fish the chick about 5 times a year and usally fish between the nuke plant and wolftever. One other thing Me and rooster have a club tourny on the nick on apr.12 so we won't be at the family traditions tourny on the chick. So I'm not asking for that reason. Just curious.

Im not trying to jerk you around but I know that the big fish and big bags are coming from everywhere.I have heard of huge catches coming from every creek shallow but not in the back.

GB, a good buddy of mind had a 28lb sack a while ago this year and I know that he didn't fish past the Hiwassee. I would expect that all of his fish came from Soddy creek to Harrison bluff but I didn't ask specifics. I think that most of the lake is just producing bigger and more fish because of the grass and the shad population. jason had a 9lber fishing from the shore at HBSP I think. There are just better fish around this year.

POLO! I heard the same explanation this morning at Breakfast (LEE HIGHWAY KRYSTAL) A article explained about the MILFOIL Kill effect several years ago and the large Shad population NOW! Sounds good for Bass Fishermen, but I am a CRAPPIE Fisherman Now!

Good for Bass and Crappie and everything else, the more forage the better. I hope they don't kill the grass again, for the lakes sake..... This lake is unreal and will hopefully continue this way so long as the TWRA and everyone leaves it alone..... Something this good doesn't come along very often, if the grass gets killed this time it may not rebound for another 20+ years..... just my opinion.

Bass Addict (one of our memebers) is a big dog in DU. He told me this week that he read a letter from the Pres. of TVA and he said they learned their lesson in the late 80's and that they will never use herbicides to control aquatic vegetation again. If it gets bad they will use the mower like they do on Nick and Guntersville. They addressed the sawgrass issue upriver near Dayton, that will be kept back by hand.

As long as we dont get any big floods, I expect to see alot of grass on the Chick this year and am excited to hear that TVA has their heads on straight.

Just so you know they still spray nickajack yearly, they usually put up a red sign right after warning about contaminations hazards. And every year it seems the fishing tales off for awhile, then gradually tries to rebound before summers end.
