Went out with Big Jim & Little Jim (Miller) today. Great morning... drizzling rain, no wind and good flow. The blues were pretty hot. Little Jim (from Atlanta) was on fire. No huge fish today but lots of fish that ranged from 13 lbs. up to 20 lbs. Missed a lot as well. Best tip I can offer from today... find water that's between 26 and 33 feet deep. We fished shallower and we fished deeper... but every fish we caught today was in that depth range. First time we hit the right water they simultaneously missed four consecutive hits (two each) ... and then doubled up in a span of about four minutes. Will be back tomorrow... I fear a repeat of last week. Good front moved through on Saturday and fish were hot. And then Sunday after front moved through they shut down. emoBang Let's hope not.

Nothing wrong with those fish Richard. If I was paying you I would be a satisfied customer.
Keep up the good work.

nice fish. i should know this, but..... look at the different tailfins on the two fish. One fish is a Blue cat with the rounded tail fin. The other? Channel cat??

Negative... both of those are blues. Here's a good comparison picture (channel on the right). When channels get larger, they do lose some of golden brown color however.

Richard, you take good pictures..... and that's the truth...emoThumbsup emoToast
Thanks... but the fact is, all pictures look good when they include big fish and happy people. It's a winning combination for any photographer (or guide). emoLaugh
