I only had one guide trip this weekend, but I got in a couple of good rides. Sat. was a busy day with many preparations being made for a benefit pig roast on that evening. We had a couple of rides during the day as well and I was able to get a four hour ride in with Cindy and Dewayne from middle Tennessee. We rode the Overlook trail to the swimming hole on North White Oak Creek. The weather was perfect but mother nature threw us a few curves. The White Oak overlook was closed due to an explosion in the bee population around the area. Also, this is the third trip I have taken on this trail since the middle of May and it is the third time I have ran into a rattlesnake. My wife lead a trip on this trail one week ago and ran into another one. I think that all of the rain in the Big South Fork area is causing the small game to move up and away from the creeks and the snakes are following them. The curves in the road keep life interesting, it was a great ride.

We awoke to rain and a lot of yawning on Sunday morning. The weather soon subsided and we went to the barn fed and readied the horses and set off on another adventure. We rode Rock House and part of the Spruce Creek Trail in the morning followed by the Cumberland Valley Trail and White Oak Loop in the afternoon. A tremendous day with overcast skies, light wind, and cool temperatures.
