Just finished a good weekend in Big South Fork. I had a chance to ride some new areas and get a better lay of the land. It is truly amazing the amount of water that enhances this interesting place in our beautiful state. Saturday was incredible with clear sunny skies, the Trillium and wild Iris' are blooming, but the dogwoods are not quite ready. I spent 12.5 hours in the saddle Sat. and Sun., can't wait to go back. I brought back more pictures to share, I hope you enjoy them.

There is some good smallmouth and redeye fishing on several of the streams within the park. I have been contemplating setting up a three day, two night guided fishing trip. Ride in, camp out, eat well, and catch some fish.....

nice pictures, Carl......the shots look like the gulf just above my house. It is North Chickamauga Creek....been way back in there and when the water is running good You would think it was about the same place.......beautiful country ain't it???? FA

My wife and I have been riding Chickamauga Battlefield, Norris Dam State Park, and the trails near Jacks River and Conasauga River. We're hoping to make up to Big South Fork sometime. Do you bring your own horses?

I ride and guide out of the stables of Southeast Pack Trips. I have been spending two to three weekends a month upon the Big South Forkand just love it. I have been hoping for a slower work schedule, so I can ride mid-week. Just can not find the time.
