Steven and I decided to run back up river from Sullivans this time, last year we stayed down and got hammered , wasn't going to make that mistake again especially with two day tournament of hundred boats on lower end. Ran about fifteen miles up river and second spot saw a shad spawn along Banks and caught two three pounders right off the bat on crankbait. Then there was a lull so we moved twice didn't catch any so went back two where we caught two threes and caught another one. Moved to other side of point and caught the 7.30 big fish on worm. Moved down to next point and caught another about 3 1/2 or close to 4 on a worm. Came back down river about ten o'clock and discovered lower end was dead sea with no current and getting pounded for two days. By bass fed boys. End up with 13.65 for three , and big fish 7.30 . Would like to thank cff tournament committee for putting these tournaments on. Steven and I have really enjoyed fishing these even when we don't catch much and when we do , just a good bunch of guys that are really respectful of each other and great bunch of friends.

Great job under tough conditions. The TBF won with a little over 23#, two days and a 5 fish limit. Your bag on two days would have won. emoToast

Awesome sack...very healthy fish as well!! No doubt those had been feeding well on the shad spawn!

Thats cool y'all ran into a shad spawn. Congrats on another win and big fish too.

We could tell by the leisurely pace you were running back down river at 1:00 that you must have been pretty confident with what was in the live well.

thanks for the report.

We got lucky and was in the right place at the right time. But on another note the fishing on nickajack has really took a nose dive. Don't remember seeing it this bad on lower end.
