Started out cff #11 dodging thunderstorm heading downriver . Fished a flat for schooling fish 90% of which were stripes . Steven caught first keeper largemouth on top water and then I catch a small 13" spot . We left there about dark and headed to a place i haven't fished in about 6 years or so . Just a shallow pocket with grass and shellbed with about three foot of water on it. After about 15 minutes or so I caught a 3/12 lb largemouth on a worm. Bout ten minutes later set the hook on another bite and it didn't move at first and then started bull dogging me . Steven lipped it since he was already in the bottom of boat tying on another worm. That fish weighed 6.67. We didn't get another bite there so went to one of our main places and caught a 4 lb largemouth there. Came out of that pocket and fished some grass close to lighted area and caught one almost 4 on spinnerbait. Finished up with 3 little over 14lbs for first and big fish . Fish are incredibly shallow for this time of year . Just shows how much this lake can change with pressure from year to year.
