What a windy classic! First off Steven and I would like to congratulate Glenn on a very good classic win. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Well first day on chickamauga we started off in the grass and didn't see any activity or sniff a bite we fished that til about 10:30 or so and figured out we needed to do something else or we wouldn't have much. So we started fishing deep and started catching fish in about 25 ft of water . Steven caught two good largemouth on first deep spot and then I caught two spots there. We moved around from place to place trying to find deep places with the least amount of wind possible. After catching a few small fish here and there on way back to ramp at dam we stopped on windy bank with a deep hole on it and Steven catches 4 pounder there. After first day we were in second place with 10.82 but behind Glenn by 7 pounds. Day two on nickajack made long run up river fishing everything we knew trying to catch a big smallmouth or largemouth but bluebird sky after cold front not real good for that especially for big smallmouth. Caught about 20 keepers on Sunday just never had a big bite. Finished day two with 10.08 to remain in second place behind Glenn he just had to big a lead with those weather conditions . If it water temps were colder might could of had a chance but not to be. All our fish but two came on a jig the two that didn't were on a crank bait. Wish the frog bite could have worked out but that bite is either a hero or a zero. I 've always said a frog is fun to fish except in a tournament. Thanks to tournament committee on another season in the books look forward to next year fishing with all the friends we have made. We are starting frostbite tournaments on November 20th this year would like to invite all to come fish them really fun and good competition best tournaments of the year.
