Bite on the river and the lake

Is anyone noticing a decline in the bite on the river and the lake during the past week? We are fishing our classic this weekend (half a day on the river, half a day on the lake) so the lake and river have been off-limits for the participants.

I saw a decline in the deep bite early this week but Flip and I had a great day on the lake in 10-12 feet fishing near bait.
I think the bite in the river really took off this week - lots of real nice smallmouth being caught...and released Plenty of good Spaaaats too!

Tuesday the bite was the slowest all week, but picked up Wednesday and better today. emoGeezer
