I have made a very tough decision to relocate my family from the Chattanooga area to the Charlotte, NC after being offered a promotion within my company.

I have learned a ton from being on this forum the last couple of years and fishing with quite a few of the members.
I have made some life long friends on this forum.
I'll be around for a couple of more weeks and plan to hit the Chick (no pun intended) a couple more times before I leave.

I will be re-locating to the Lake Wylie area of South Carolina and looking forward to getting on the water there.

Thanks again to everyone on here for helping me learn to bass fish and where to look for big ol' cats.

I'll be sure to send reports once I figure out where the fish are on Lake Wylie and Norman.

Congrats on the promotion. You will love Charlotte. I lived there for a year in 97. Lake Norman used to suck. Wylie supposed to be better. I remember catching a bunch on a little lake called Mountain Island.

Gotta do what u gotta do...have enjoyed the COMBAT TEAM as we got to fire a few shots at the LM @ the Chick. Carolina good area, good luck and stay in touch, this forum works all around the country........... emoGeezer emoUSA

Peace to you sir. I have a good friend from that area and he swears by the monster bluegill on that lake. He has hunted them for 60years with a flyrod and popping bugs, swears those are the biggest bluegies in the south!
Enjoy and post some reports to keep us in touch.

Congrats on the promotion and good luck in SC! Hit me up if you have time before you go, we'll get out on the water. We stay in Seneca SC for a week every fall on lake Keowee, drop me a PM sometime in october and if your free we can go chase some Keowee spots!

Ditto to everything said above. Sorry to see you go, but understandable, best for the family I am sure. :( Jmax

Congrats on the promotion and best wishes to you and yours. Many thanks for your service to this country!

Best regards, Nauticman

Farewells are better than good-byes. Congratulations on the promotion, and the best of luck to you and the family. The best part...your still going to be in the GREAT SOUTH!!!!!!

Thanks for the kind words.
I'll definitely be in touch and Derek holler at me in October and we'll go hammer those Spots...lol

Congrats on the promotion emoParty Good luck in NC! From Charlotte you could also hit Lake Murray in SC. Excellent winter striper fishing there!! Keep us informed emoUSA

Congrats on the promotion.........
I have relatives in the Charlotte area and I'm thinking you'll love living there. Stay on the CFF and send pics of NC & SC fish.

Good luck! I lived in Salisbury and Kannapolis about 40 years ago. Great seafood in the Carolinas. Look for a "fish camp"; this is a seafood restaurant. See if the Hereford Barn is still in business at I-85 and Sugar Creek Road- top notch! You are between the Atlantic Ocean and the mountain.
My wife and I looked at a house on LW- $25,000! But it was a 4 room summer cottage- we were looking for a full size 3/2 home. Wonder what that property is worth now!
