Anyone have and shoot a black powder revolver pistol?

I'm wanting to check one out to see if I want a kit on down the road.

I have a 1861 Navy Colt 44 cal revolver. I use to shoot it all the time. These pistols are a blast to shoot. You have to make sure and clean them after you get done shooting them. Also make sure and coat each chamber end before you shoot the pistol so you do not have a chain fire.

I built one for my son years ago. It was fun to build together. As far as shooting it...it was ok. Can't imagine the reloading, etc, during the Civil War. I used Crisco to coat the chambers, to prevent crossfires. By the time your finished shooting...it pretty much is running down your arms. LOL. This one now is out of timing, cyclinder doesn't line up, and I haven't taken the time to take it apart to fix it. I'd be happy to loan it to you, with instructions, bullets, powder, etc....so you can see what your getting into.
