Sportsmans was out and I had a slammed day today with work so I settled for the Pyrodex pellets I already had. Well, I've never had such a goof of a time sighting one in. First off my buddy mounted my scope and boresighted the gun. He is an absolute mounting genius obviously. I pop the first round off (50 yards). 10 inches low, 1 inch right. So without adjusting I put round 2 through. 12 inches low, 3 inches left. I thought #$%%!!! Looked and my base screws were very loose. Tightened them. So pop 2 more shots and they are level but left 8 inches, so I adjust accordingly. 2 more shots and they scattered all to the left. get to looking, (weaver style rings/mounts) and the two screws that lock on the ring in the front were loose! #@$$%!!!! Tightened them, shoot two rounds and they laid on top of each other. Were talking a sub MOA pattern!!! It was high and right so I adjusted accordingly and three shots later, when I could barely see the target, I was on, could have covered 'em with a quarter. Tomorrow, on my way to the happy hunting grounds, I plan to go back and shoot 100 yards and get her dialed in. I am so impressed with the grouping, even though it was at 50 yards, That gun also loaded and cleaned very easily. I will say it kicked like a donkey, infact I got a knot between my eyes from the scope. I shot 2 50 grain Pyrodex pellets (100 grain) and slung Hornady SST 250 grain sabots, with regular winchester w209 primers. I hope my next post has a picture with some game in it. I'll be back Sunday!
