blown head gasket

i got an 88 mecury 150 black max the impeller went out on my way in just a very short distance from the ramp the engine did get hot but i shut it down as sonn as my over heat buzzer went off there was some smoke comin out around the driver side head is this something i can fix on my own any help from you guys is greatly appreciated wanna get back on the water asap

When you ask about fixing it yourself are you talking about the water pump or the possible burnt head gasket. Either one you could do yourself but I would suggest having a service manual for assistance.

If you want to call me Monday morning I could probably get you worked into my service schedule on Tue or Wed. Since your from Cleveland I could probably arrange it where you could just drop your boat off for 3 - 4 hours and I could have it repaired for you.
