I have a 2006 E-Tec 225HO with a blown #6 cylinder. Is there any place that would give me something for it for parts?

i would post it for sale on here, bbc and other bass sites someone would buy it im sure
if buying a new one might be able to get some trade value for it

Ooch! emoBawl I went though that the year before last. If you salvage it out get ready to take very little for it. If you try to replace the power head get ready to pay around $7,500 to $8,000. Either way it sticks. Mine is a 200 Evinrude and before it was all done I paid $7,700.00 to have the power head replaced. It has been two years and so far so good. emoRolleyes The only other options is to try and find someone or someplace to try and fix the cylinder. I was told that is the cheapest but the most likely to not last. Good luck. emoSorry Jmax

I will check the web site. I bought a new one, 2010 with the 5 year warranty currently offered. The old one was six months out if warranty but only had 111 hours on it. Fishing time was way down because I got married and moved here from Chicago.
Just trying to get something out of the old one, instead of dumping it in a junk yard.
