Hi Everyone, I know plenty has been posted about the strange bass spawn we are seeing this year. I confess it has been frustrating and I agree that it is most likely due to the mild winter and very fast water warm up we have had. I love to catch bluegill - shellcrackers on the bed as do most of us I'm sure. Anyone seen any beds? I've seen water temps as high as 75 - 76 before this recent cold spell but I haven't noticed any for sure signs of bluegill beds. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places. I don't expect gps info but to just know what stage they are in really helps. Thanks and let's all be safe on the water and respect the wonderful natural resources God has blessed us with emoThumbsup .

I've seen them on beds 2 weeks ago, shallow sandy bottoms back of pockets,Soddy ,eldridge just look in back of pockets

Thanks for the feedback. I'll for sure be looking around the full moon. The spawn this year has been so crazy I hope we have a decent, predictable bluegill spawn. The report of beds 2 weeks ago has me concerned  . I'd hate to miss the big wave of nice fat fish, many of whom just want to end up in my fryer emoParty .

I also found Crackers on Bed 2 weeks ago, went back the next weekend to the exact same beds and they were empty, hopefully those were just the early bloomers, water has risen much since then also.
