Sorry for the late post on this. We started out on our first spot with nothing. Fishing a ledge and no cooperation from anything. Go to our second spot another ledge with some grass close by. Caught a few small fish on a jig and TX rig worm. Decided to go shallow and a few small bites around some duckweed on a fluke.
Finally got dark and started fishing some docks with shaky heads and worms. Bingo found our limit pretty quickly. Upgraded 2 or 3 times but still a small limit
Earlier in the evening I had told Will I had a feeling I was gonna catch a big fish tonite. So about 1 am while fishing a rock bank I had a tx rig worm on and felt a light tic. I set the hook and the fish was pretty stout. I told will it was a good one. He grabs the net and turns on his headlight. The fish flashed up in the water and he and I both said looks like a 5. Wrong he netted the fish pretty quickly and when he pulled it in we both were surprised to see it was the 9.44 lber. We caught more fish after that and upgraded only one more time but just ounces. But it was our night and enough for the win. Looking forward to the next one and hopefully a change of scenery
