I am getting a boat alarm at times not all of the times. The alarm is a beep, beep, beep. Not one long beep just short beep, beep, beep. It does not happen all of the time but when it does I will stop and it will usely stop. I am guessing this is an oil alarm but the boat is using oil. Two more things at one point I did run it a little low (about 1/4 of oil tank) This is on a 200 Mercury EFI 3.0. What could it be it is using oil or maybe it is not getting enought? Guess I take to shop before fishing? Thanks for any ideas. Watts

My 50 hp did that when the oil got low. It was not empty but it was enough that when I would hit some large wakes it would go off. I just keep the oil full and have not had a problem since. Don't know if it is the same problem but maybe this will help.

Thanks, but I ended up filling the oil up and it is still doing it...Boats can be a pain in the @##.

Also check the oil tank under the cowl. It must be full or you will get the alarm you describe. That said, if you're getting alarms, it's never a bad idea to get it checked by somebody that knows what they're doing. Good luck!

what year engine??? I have the factory manual for some of the 3.0L's.I can email you the section on oil injection.
