Just for your information. I was having trouble getting my merc outboard motor clean as it seemed to always have the chalky white substance that wouldn't come off. I happen to find some STAR-BRITE boat cleaner I bought about 20 years ago and forgot about that DID THE JOB. All I had to do was squirt it on and wipe it off with a wet rag. I was simply amazed as the motor now looks good as new and it's over 23 years old.
