I need some suggestions on repairing a canvas boat cover. During the night a tree limb, loaded with ice, fell and went through my cover just beside the front seat. Of course that is a high stress place when the cover is installed on the boat so this hole, (actually 2 holes about 6 inches each), will only get worse. The cover is only 3 yrs old and otherwise in good condition, emoBang

Find a patch kit somewhere, do the patching from inside. Duct tape won't hold it for very long.

Not sure how well this would work but fabric stores sell iron on patches for holes in cloths. Some I have seen are fairly heavy. I had a light weight cover on my boat for a while and had used one of these on it. Seemed to hold well. Might be worth checking.

BEHIND TACO BELL ON HIGHWAY 58 IS A SHOP THAT REPAIRS CANVAS COVERS.
CAN'T REMEMBER THE NAME OF THE PLACE.THEY ARE ON THE RIGHT GOING TO THE
POST OFFICE.

I used Elmer's waterproof wood glue to repair the seams when the thread failed on my boat cover and it has held for 4 or 5 years. Gorilla glue may even be better. You can get some material and glue it in place. Put some old fashion wax paper on it and weight it down with a board and a cinder block until it's dry.
