Boat friendly hotels at Pickwick / Florence al

My daughter has her first collegiate tournament next weekend at Pickwick. I thought about taking the boat over and killing time while waiting for thier weigh in. You know dad has to be at the first one.

Anyway... Any of you guys know of a boat friendly hotel over there?

We stayed at the holiday inn express for the high school world finals back in july. They have a light pole at the back of the hotel on both sides of the parking lot with 4 plugs on each pole. They also gave us a fishing discount.

You might want to look at Joe Wheeler State Park. Its a short drive over to Florence. Plus you
have 3 different lakes to fish.

The Jameson in Sheffield, AL is where I stayed for the Tour tournament. Will be where I stay again this year.

I stayed there last year during the BFL regional...they have a bar and the food is good too...it wasnt too crowded and plenty of parking...i backed my boat right up to my door and used a drop cord right into the room. It's a little older but was perfect for my needs.
