I went out with the wife today for a few hours and did ok. When I got home and pulled the plug I noticed more water in the hull. I am afraid that I have a small leak. I took a look at my hull up front. I own an older fiberglass bass boat. It is the tri hull design. The center of the boat is pretty beat up. I guess all the years are catching up to it. What do you guys recommend to repair the hull? No doubt this is going to get worse if I do not repair it soon. The area is not very large. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hey Top_water Just wanted to ask if you have checked your water lines for bait wells and also check around the inside opposite were you pulled drain plug always worth checking out. hulls that are beat up are always a worry and a Pain, but take a look it cant hurt.you can sometimes use dye diluted in 1 or 2 quarts of water, while boat is on trailer you can pour mixture in the back where the bilge pump is and let it sit for a while. hope its as simple as loose hose clamps that just need tightened. Good luck. hope this helped</p>

Good reply. Always try the simplest thing first because it usually is the simplest thing.

I would check everywhere there's a possibility of a leak before starting repairs. What i did once when I could not find the leak was to take a water hose and intentionally fill my boat's hull with water to see where it comes out. It worked. You can get fiberglass retsin repair materials at most any auto parts place. Good luck!
