Boat Mechanic

I'm in need of a good boat mechanic. I'm needing work done on the steering and maybe tune-up. If anyone knows of a good one that is honest ,you use often and knows what they're doing. I don't expect work done for free but I don't have a small fortune to spend either. Also I'm asking opinions about my prop....my boat is a 1998 Javelin 379B...150 Faststrike....with 14 1/2 x 24 prop....having a hard time coming out of the hole. What do you think about lowering the pitch? Guy that had it before me tournament fished so I'm not sure he cared about hole shot....more about top end. Opinions welcome!
